We offer a follow-up service for sex offenders. We provide a therapeutic follow-up service for sex offenders, upon referral from a sexologist or sex-psychotherapist. The program we use was created by the Ex-Equo organization.
Please note that Convergence's psychosocial counsellors do not offer psychotherapy as such, but they do have the tools to assess the risk of recidivism.
The sex offenders program involves a commitment and a contract that admitted men must abide by. The aspects and components discussed during follow-ups are based on the recognized program of the Ex-Equo organization. The main topics addressed during intervention meetings include sex education, cognitive distortions, social skills, emotion management, empathy, and recidivism prevention.
