Other prevention, promotion and awareness-raising initiatives
Our organization is committed to promoting men's health and well-being. We therefore offer the possibility of organizing conferences, workshops and groups focusing on topics related to male realities and men's health, such as:
- Promotion of positive models of masculinity and fatherhood;
- Male realities (information, documentation and conferences);
- Promotion of mutual support between men;
- Promotion of healthy lifestyles among men;
- Reflection on identity issues among men;
- Activities exploring male life transitions;
- Educational activities aimed at reducing certain possible negative effects associated with the socialization of men (e.g., rigid masculinity model, overwork, loneliness, restricted emotional life, addictions, violence, homophobia).
Convergence is also involved in various specific prevention and awareness-raising projects in line with its mission, for example, to promote egalitarian relationships and healthy, respectful and non-violent relationships.
Convergence also offers awareness-raising workshops to defendants and inmates at the New Carlisle Institution. Individual meetings are provided in French and English.
